Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for disruptive technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) with 3-5 year impact projections
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for 2026 societal and economic transformations
- Architect strategic roadmaps integrating emerging technologies with business objectives
- Present future-state insights to C-suite executives and board stakeholders
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions
- Author thought leadership publications and industry whitepapers
- Mentor junior futurists and build future-focused competency across the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology research
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial opportunities
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in scenario modeling and trend analysis methodologies
- Strong background in at least one technical domain (AI, biotech, energy, etc.)
- Exceptional storytelling skills for complex future concepts
- Published thought leadership in respected industry publications
- Experience advising C-level executives on strategic pivots
