Responsibilities
- Safely walk and exercise 4-6 dogs simultaneously using professional handling techniques
- Administer medications and provide specialized care as requested by clients
- Maintain detailed digital logs of pet behavior, health observations, and service delivery
- Transport pets to veterinary appointments and grooming facilities
- Implement positive reinforcement training during walks and socialization sessions
- Respond professionally to client inquiries and provide daily photo/video updates
- Participate in monthly pet care safety certifications and training workshops
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Certification in pet first aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ miles daily
- Experience with large breeds, puppies, and special-needs pets
- Strong communication skills and client service orientation
- Reliable transportation and smartphone with data plan
