Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processing units (QPUs) with >1000 logical qubits
- Architect cryogenic control systems operating at <20mK temperatures
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum networks with sub-microsecond latency
- Lead integration of quantum accelerators with HPC supercomputing clusters
- Implement quantum-safe cryptographic protocols for 2026 infrastructure
- Optimize quantum-classical hybrid workflows for pharmaceutical discovery
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum engineering best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years designing quantum systems with demonstrated fault-tolerance
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Experience with quantum software stacks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Security clearance for classified quantum research projects
