Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Proactively monitor server health, performance metrics, and uptime to ensure 99.9% availability.
- Maintenance & Patching: Perform routine updates, security patches, and system backups for Windows and Linux servers.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of server configurations, changes, and incident reports.
- Security Compliance: Assist in enforcing security protocols and access controls.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in server administration or system engineering.
- Knowledge: Proficiency in managing Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals.
- Tools: Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell/Bash) and virtualization technologies.
- Flexibility: Ability to work evening or weekend shifts as required for maintenance.
