Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through compelling proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or cryptography
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Demonstrated success securing NSF or DOE grants
- Expertise in superconducting qubit manipulation or photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Experience mentoring researchers in quantum computing domains
