Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Publish breakthrough findings in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Develop quantum simulation tools for real-world problem-solving
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil) and quantum circuit design
- Published record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
