Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate on cryogenic hardware testing at our Austin Research Center
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into functional prototypes
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure federal grants and corporate partnerships for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier conference proceedings
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
