Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for error correction and optimization
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum-classical interfaces
- Lead 3-5 research projects annually with publication targets in Nature/Science
- Develop proprietary quantum simulation frameworks using C++/Python
- Mentor junior researchers and secure NSF/DARPA grants
- Partner with industry leaders to commercialize quantum solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with IBM/Qiskit
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming (Q#, Quil, or similar)
- Expertise in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Strong track record of securing research funding
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware
