Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional projects with ML/AI and materials science teams
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Translate theoretical models into executable code using Qiskit/Cirq
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware (IBM Rigetti, IonQ)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and entanglement
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Track record of securing research funding
