Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance and drug discovery
- Optimize qubit coherence and error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 1000+ qubit processors
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for machine learning acceleration
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define quantum processor specifications
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at leading quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or top-tier conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Familiarity with superconducting, photonic, or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum libraries (Cirq, Qiskit)
