Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead cutting-edge research in qubit coherence, error correction, and quantum supremacy
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation with AI and blockchain teams
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants and patents for quantum IP development
- Develop roadmaps for commercializing quantum solutions by 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Proven track record of quantum algorithm development for NISQ-era hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and computational theory
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
- Ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Fluency in Python, C++, and quantum error correction techniques
