Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 128-qubit processors
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- Published work in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex probability theory
- Track record of securing government or industry research funding
- Excellent written communication for technical whitepapers and grant proposals
