Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant computing by 2026
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical AI frameworks
- Author research publications in Nature/Science journals and present findings at quantum computing conferences
- Prototype quantum software stacks using Qiskit, Cirq, and custom frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum information theory
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Published record in quantum computing or related field with 10+ peer-reviewed papers
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing and distributed quantum systems
- Track record of securing research funding and leading international collaborations
