Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms targeting 2026 computational milestones
- Lead a 12-person research team in developing error-corrected quantum systems
- Secure federal and private research funding through grant proposals
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum cryptography applications
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature and Science journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with IBM Quantum Experience and Rigetti systems
- Proven track record of securing $10M+ in research grants
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum systems
