Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and simulation applications
- Design and implement error-correction methodologies for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Secure $10M+ in government and private research funding annually
- Mentor PhD researchers and postdoctoral fellows in quantum information science
- Develop IP strategy and patent portfolio for quantum innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proven track record of securing government research grants (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams of 10+ researchers
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Strong business acumen for technology commercialization
