Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum processors operating at 100+ qubit scale
- Create hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead integration of quantum systems with cloud infrastructure (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications in finance and logistics
- Document quantum system specifications and publish research in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior quantum engineers in quantum circuit design and measurement techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation tools
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface codes, LDPC)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum system optimization
