Responsibilities
- Safely escort dogs on individual or group walks in designated St. Louis neighborhoods
- Monitor pet health, behavior, and environmental conditions during walks
- Provide companionship, play, and exercise according to owner specifications
- Maintain detailed digital records of walk duration, behavior, and observations
- Administer basic care (water, treats, waste cleanup) per client guidelines
- Communicate professionally with owners via app and in-person updates
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling or walking experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong understanding of canine body language and behavior
- Ability to walk multiple dogs simultaneously (up to 4) when required
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina for extended outdoor activity in various weather
- Clean background check and pet first aid certification preferred
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
