Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise dogs in various weather conditions while maintaining leash control
- Provide personalized care based on individual pet needs and owner instructions
- Monitor pets for health/behavioral changes and report concerns promptly
- Clean up after pets and maintain clean walking areas
- Utilize GPS tracking and photo/video updates during walks
- Transport pets to/from appointments when required
- Build trust-based relationships with pets and their owners
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong physical stamina for extended outdoor activity
- Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple dogs simultaneously
- Trustworthy background check required
- Knowledge of local Lexington dog-friendly routes
