Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously using proper leash techniques and control methods
- Provide real-time photo/video updates to pet owners through our mobile app
- Administer basic care including fresh water, waste cleanup, and medication reminders
- Maintain detailed activity logs for each dog's behavior and health observations
- Adapt walks to individual dog needs based on breed, size, and temperament
- Respond to emergencies with calm professionalism using pet first aid protocols
- Build positive client relationships through exceptional communication and reliability
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Certification in Pet First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain before start)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and walk 5+ miles daily
- Smartphone proficiency for GPS navigation and app usage
- Excellent time management and punctuality skills
- Strong understanding of canine body language and behavior
- Reliable transportation to cover assigned SF neighborhoods
