Responsibilities
- Safely leash-walk dogs (1-4 at a time) in designated Portland neighborhoods
- Provide attentive care during walks (monitoring behavior, waste cleanup)
- Administer basic medications as needed (training provided)
- Update detailed digital reports after each visit
- Maintain accurate client records and schedule management
- Communicate professionally with pet owners via app/phone
- Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking/pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to walk dogs in all weather conditions (heat, rain)
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and handling techniques
- Excellent time management and reliability
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Local Portland residency preferred
