Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously using proper leash techniques and control methods
- Provide real-time photo/video updates to pet owners during walks
- Monitor pet health, behavior, and environmental safety during outings
- Maintain accurate walk logs and client communication records
- Administer basic care as requested (e.g., fresh water, waste cleanup)
- Adapt routes to avoid extreme weather conditions while ensuring exercise needs
- Build trust-based relationships with both pets and their owners
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Current pet first/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Availability for morning/evening walks (5 AM - 9 PM)
- Ability to handle dogs up to 80 lbs comfortably
- Excellent communication skills and smartphone proficiency
- Knowledge of New Orleans neighborhoods and pet-friendly routes
- Background check clearance required
