Responsibilities
- Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers during overnight hours
- Coordinate with physicians and nursing staff for urgent patient needs
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Handle patient inquiries and triage emergency situations
- Prepare and distribute overnight patient reports to day shift staff
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Monitor equipment and supply inventory for restocking needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- 1+ years healthcare or customer service experience
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
