Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers during night shift hours
- Manage electronic health records and documentation with precision
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and nursing staff for urgent patient needs
- Maintain supply inventory and equipment functionality in clinical areas
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide exceptional bedside manner
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols are followed
- Support triage processes for emergency department arrivals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (CMA/LMA certification preferred)
- Minimum 1 year healthcare or medical office experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Strong proficiency with EHR systems (Epic experience a plus)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Flexibility to cover variable shifts including weekends
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
