Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments during overnight shifts
- Administer medications and injections following established protocols
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure sterile environments for overnight procedures
- Coordinate patient flow and triage urgent cases during off-hours
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with nursing staff and on-call physicians for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual Spanish preferred
- Basic EKG and phlebotomy skills required
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Current BLS/CPR certification
