Responsibilities
- Safely leash-walk dogs of various breeds and sizes in Irvine's residential areas
- Monitor pets' behavior and health during walks, reporting concerns to owners
- Provide fresh water and administer basic care (treats, medication as instructed)
- Maintain clean equipment and waste management protocols
- Document walk details and client communications via our mobile app
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and emergency procedures
- Build trust with pets through positive reinforcement techniques
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling experience
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Reliable personal transportation
- Strong understanding of canine body language and behavior
- Ability to walk dogs up to 80 lbs comfortably
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Flexible availability (weekdays/evenings/weekends)
- Pass background check and drug screening
