Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with library resources, catalog searches, and digital services
- Manage circulation desk duties including check-ins, check-outs, and renewals
- Organize and maintain library collections, ensuring materials are properly shelved
- Conduct basic troubleshooting for public computers and printing systems
- Support youth literacy programs and community events coordination
- Process new acquisitions and perform inventory management tasks
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons of all ages and backgrounds
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; library science coursework preferred
- Minimum 6 months customer service or library experience
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in library catalog systems (e.g., Sierra, Koha)
- Ability to operate office equipment and basic tech troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
