Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service at service desks, assisting patrons with material circulation, account inquiries, and reference support
- Manage library collections through accurate shelving, inventory control, and processing of new acquisitions
- Facilitate technology access by providing basic troubleshooting for public computers, printers, and digital resources
- Support program coordination for community events, workshops, and educational initiatives
- Maintain organized and accessible physical spaces through systematic maintenance and environmental stewardship
- Collaborate with team members on resource sharing, interlibrary loans, and collection development
- Contribute to library outreach efforts through social media, local partnerships, and community engagement
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in library science or related field preferred
- Minimum 6 months customer service experience in a public-facing role
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and basic office software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management
- Excellent communication abilities with multilingual proficiency a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation for branch mobility
