Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons of all ages at service desks and digital help points
- Process, catalog, and organize library materials using integrated library systems (ILS)
- Assist with program coordination for children, teens, and adult education initiatives
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-outs, returns, and account maintenance
- Support digital literacy initiatives and technology troubleshooting for patrons
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with collection development tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or library coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience in public-facing role
- Proficiency with library software (e.g., Sierra, Koha) and MS Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of Dewey Decimal System and cataloging principles
- Valid Minnesota driver's license for outreach program support
