Responsibilities
- Shelving & Organization: Sort, shelve, and organize library materials accurately to ensure easy access for patrons.
- Circulation Support: Check books in and out, manage holds, and assist patrons with library cards.
- Customer Service: Greet visitors, answer general inquiries, and provide directions to library resources.
- Material Processing: Help prepare new arrivals for the shelves, including labeling and covering.
- Event Assistance: Support library programs and events by setting up rooms and assisting attendees.
- Technology Help: Guide patrons in using computers, printers, and the library’s online catalog.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Basic familiarity with computers and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential.
