Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with locating books, periodicals, and digital resources within the library system.
- Perform shelving and organization of materials to ensure the library is accessible and orderly.
- Manage the circulation desk, including checking items in and out, processing fines, and managing holds.
- Provide basic computer assistance, including help with library catalogs and online databases.
- Organize and maintain archives, records, and community meeting room schedules.
- Support library programs and events by setting up equipment and assisting with logistics.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer navigation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move boxes of library materials (up to 25 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude are essential.
