Responsibilities
- Assist library patrons with research, reference inquiries, and the use of digital resources.
- Shelve and organize books, periodicals, and multimedia materials according to the Dewey Decimal System.
- Manage the circulation desk, including checking items in and out, renewing loans, and processing fines.
- Maintain accurate records of library inventory and patron accounts using our management systems.
- Support the preparation and execution of library programs, events, and workshops.
- Ensure the library spaces are clean, welcoming, and accessible to all visitors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Previous experience in a customer service or library setting is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with library software or MS Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
