Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with library resources, including catalog navigation, reference inquiries, and digital tool support
- Manage circulation desk operations: check in/out materials, process fines, and maintain accurate records
- Organize and shelve library materials according to classification systems
- Coordinate community outreach programs, workshops, and literacy initiatives
- Implement digital literacy training for patrons on library databases and e-resources
- Maintain physical and digital collections through inventory and preservation tasks
- Collaborate with librarians on collection development and programming support
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent library/education experience required
- Proficiency in integrated library systems (ILS) and MS Office Suite
- Strong customer service skills with ability to assist diverse patron populations
- Knowledge of cataloging standards (Dewey Decimal, Library of Congress)
- Experience with digital resource management and basic tech troubleshooting
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Valid Missouri driver's license (for branch mobility if required)
