Responsibilities
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-outs, returns, and account maintenance
- Assist patrons with research inquiries, database navigation, and technology troubleshooting
- Process new acquisitions, catalog materials, and maintain accurate inventory records
- Develop and implement engaging community programs for diverse age groups
- Support digital literacy initiatives and assist with public computer stations
- Collaborate with team members on collection development and space optimization
- Enforce library policies while maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years library or customer service experience
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and digital resources
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Basic knowledge of cataloging principles and Dewey Decimal System
