Responsibilities
- Manage circulation desk operations using provided library management software
- Assist patrons with digital resources and specialized equipment
- Process and catalog new materials using provided cataloging tools
- Maintain organization of physical and digital collections
- Train patrons on provided equipment (printers, scanners, public PCs)
- Support community programs with provided AV equipment
- Perform routine maintenance of library hardware and software
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; library science certification preferred
- Experience with library management systems (e.g., Sierra, Koha)
- Proficiency in using library-provided equipment (scanners, RFID, digital archives)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Basic troubleshooting skills for library equipment
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Valid New Jersey driver's license (for mobile library support)
