Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service at service desks and via phone/email
- Manage library materials circulation, including check-in/check-out and renewal processes
- Assist patrons with technology access, digital resources, and reference inquiries
- Support collection maintenance through shelving, inventory, and basic preservation tasks
- Contribute to program implementation for children, teens, and adults
- Maintain accurate records and generate usage reports
- Collaborate with team members on daily operations and special projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; library science coursework preferred
- 1+ years library or customer service experience
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and office software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of library organization principles and Dewey Decimal System
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Valid California driver's license (for mobile services)
