Responsibilities
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-ins, check-outs, and renewals
- Assist patrons with research, reference inquiries, and digital resource navigation
- Organize and maintain library materials using cataloging systems (e.g., MARC records)
- Plan and execute engaging community programs and educational workshops
- Supervise volunteer staff and student assistants
- Implement outreach initiatives to underserved communities
- Maintain accurate statistical records for collection usage and patron engagement
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years library circulation or customer service experience
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and digital databases
- Strong research skills with ability to locate diverse information sources
- Certification in library technology or archival management preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual a plus)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license for outreach program support
