Responsibilities
- Master complex coffee preparation techniques including espresso, pour-over, and latte art
- Train and mentor junior baristas on brewing standards and customer service
- Develop seasonal specialty drink menus using local ingredients
- Manage inventory, quality control, and equipment maintenance
- Deliver personalized customer consultations on coffee origins and brewing methods
- Collaborate with management to optimize operational efficiency
- Host coffee tasting events and educational workshops
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional barista experience with specialty coffee expertise
- Advanced certification in coffee brewing or Q-Grader preferred
- Proven ability to train and lead barista teams
- Exceptional knowledge of coffee sourcing, roasting profiles, and flavor profiles
- Strong inventory management and POS system proficiency
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Local food safety certification required
