The Role
As a Barista at Laredo Coffee Co., you will be the face of our brand. You will ensure every customer leaves with a smile and a perfect cup of coffee. We value reliability, speed, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, and cold brews.
- Operate commercial coffee brewing equipment and grinders with precision and care.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment at all times.
- Handle cash transactions and manage point-of-sale systems accurately.
- Upsell products and inform customers about our seasonal offerings and loyalty programs.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine maintenance.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
