Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies, social shifts, and market disruptions to forecast industry trends through 2030
- Develop comprehensive strategic frameworks and innovation roadmaps aligned with organizational vision
- Lead scenario planning workshops to prepare for potential future states and systemic risks
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype future-facing products and services
- Present strategic insights to executive stakeholders and board members with compelling data visualizations
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs to stay at the forefront of innovation
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations on future trends
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futuristics, Strategic Planning, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futures research
- Proven track record of developing successful long-term strategic frameworks
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and systems thinking methodologies
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Published research or thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through transformational change
