Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal shifts to forecast 2026 market landscapes
- Develop innovation roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives and sustainability goals
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into actionable product development plans
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation ecosystems
- Present trend insights to executive stakeholders and board members
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a culture of forward-thinking
- Author annual 'Future Horizons' reports for internal and external audiences
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating trends into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and technology impact assessment
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems
- Published thought leadership on future trends (articles, books, or TED talks)
- Experience with agile innovation methodologies and startup incubation
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive presence
