Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) to identify market opportunities through 2026
- Develop 5-year strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with corporate growth objectives
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Deliver executive-level trend briefings with data-driven impact assessments
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to anticipate societal and technological shifts
- Mentor junior strategists in futures methodology and innovation frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Forecasting, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, R&D, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 experience
- Published thought leadership on disruptive technologies (IEEE, HBR, etc.)
- Expertise in scenario planning and Delphi methodology
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies and their market applications
- Proven track record of converting foresight into commercialized innovations
- Certification in Futures Studies (e.g., University of Houston) or equivalent
- Exceptional storytelling skills for complex technical concepts
