Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 2026+ technology roadmaps aligned with company vision and market disruption forecasts
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, sustainable tech) and assess commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders with data-backed ROI projections
- Build and manage external partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry pioneers
- Monitor global tech policy/regulatory shifts and advise on risk mitigation strategies
- Mentor R&D teams in adopting future-thinking methodologies and agile innovation frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of developing and implementing multi-year tech roadmaps
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and market data
- Experience working with C-suite executives and presenting to boards
- Certifications in strategic planning (e.g., PMI-SP, TOGAF) preferred
- Portfolio of successfully launched innovation initiatives
