Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 3-5 year technology strategy aligned with market forecasts and company vision for 2026+
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, Web3) for commercial viability and integration opportunities
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify innovation gaps and prioritize R&D investments
- Partner with product teams to embed future-proofing principles into architecture and roadmaps
- Monitor geopolitical/regulatory shifts affecting tech adoption and advise on risk mitigation
- Represent company at industry summits and publish thought leadership on future tech trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or product innovation with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven track record of launching futuristic technologies (e.g., generative AI, blockchain, IoT)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or decentralized systems
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with a tech focus (PhD/MBA preferred)
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., CFP, Foresight Practitioner) or equivalent practical experience
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex scenarios and quantify ROI for speculative technologies
