Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) with market potential through 2026
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps aligning with business objectives and market trends
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and board members
- Build partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortiums
- Monitor global tech policy developments and regulatory implications
- Manage annual innovation budget allocation for R&D initiatives
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic technology roles with proven track record of innovation leadership
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with tech specialization
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI/ML, IoT, blockchain, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and business data
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $5M
- Strong executive communication skills with ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in technology strategy or innovation management
- PMP or similar strategic planning certification preferred
