Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, identifying disruptive opportunities across AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives, managing $5M+ innovation budgets and 15+ engineer/scientist teams
- Establish strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and academic institutions for technology commercialization
- Develop patent portfolios and IP strategies protecting breakthrough innovations
- Present technology forecasts to investors, board members, and industry consortia
- Mentor emerging tech talent and build an innovation pipeline for 2027+ initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership, with proven experience in emerging tech adoption
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Track record of launching at least two commercially successful tech products
- Deep expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or synthetic biology
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with executive/board experience
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., from FTI or similar)
