Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmap for emerging domains (quantum AI, neural interfaces, sustainable tech)
- Lead cross-functional R&D sprints with engineers, designers, and domain experts
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis in frontier technologies
- Develop patent strategies for breakthrough innovations
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget allocation
- Curate partnerships with academic labs and startups
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record in emerging technology commercialization
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced AI
- Experience leading technical teams through ambiguous innovation cycles
- Published research or patents in high-impact journals
- Exceptional strategic communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
