Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology strategy roadmap, aligning with business objectives and emerging market trends
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating next-gen solutions (quantum applications, neural interfaces, autonomous systems)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Establish governance frameworks for ethical AI implementation and responsible innovation
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members with data-driven insights
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for future technology incubation projects
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry pioneers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in scaling technology roadmaps for future markets (2018-2025+)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, biotech, or Web3
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with tech specialization
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, MIT Tech Review, or equivalent tier
- Experience securing patents for disruptive technologies (5+ granted)
- Fluency in strategic forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems
