Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives for 2026-era technologies including quantum-secure AI systems and neural interfaces
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging tech adoption across healthcare, climate, and defense sectors
- Partner with venture capital firms to identify and acquire disruptive startups
- Present future-tech forecasts to C-suite executives and government agencies
- Manage a $5M annual innovation budget with ROI-driven project allocation
- Author white papers published in Nature Technology and MIT Tech Review
- Mentor junior researchers through our Future Leaders Fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in launching at least two breakthrough technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or AGI development
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, or equivalent)
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or corporate innovation funding
- Fluency in future-tech forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
