Responsibilities
- Execute Daily Walks: Safely walk and exercise dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments on established routes within Honolulu.
- Pet Care & Hygiene: Ensure all dogs are clean and dry after walks, and promptly clean up waste using provided equipment.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications or special diets accurately and discreetly as instructed by pet parents.
- Client Communication: Provide real-time updates via text or photo sharing apps, reporting behavior, health status, and adherence to schedules.
- Feeding & Safety: Verify that pets have fresh water and food before returning them home; ensure yard safety and secure gates.
- Route Management: Efficiently manage multiple stops to ensure timely service for all clients.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience walking dogs, preferably in a professional or volunteer capacity.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and maintain a professional appearance.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to walk 1-2 hours per day, handle energetic dogs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle for local travel.
- Background Check: Must be willing to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and management.
