Responsibilities
- Provide daily walking services to 8-12 dogs per shift in safe, scenic Lexington neighborhoods
- Implement proper leash handling and group management techniques
- Monitor pet health and behavior, reporting any concerns to pet owners
- Maintain detailed digital records of walks, including photos and GPS tracking
- Administer basic pet first aid and emergency protocols when necessary
- Coordinate with pet owners via our mobile app for scheduling updates
- Clean and maintain equipment (leashes, water bowls, waste bags)
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation coverage
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification for pets (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of canine body language and group dynamics
- Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and clean record
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to walk 5+ miles daily in various weather conditions
- Passion for animal welfare and commitment to ethical handling
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends
